Studio Practice

Charles Hadcock is an Independent.

Hadcock believes that the hand of the artist should be present at all times in the production of a work.  Rejecting the use of production houses, Hadcock prefers a more traditional working practice where he is involved in every process from concept through sketches, models, mould making, casting, fettling, assembly and on to patination and final polish.  With a studio practise built up over the last 30 years, Hadcock is constantly learning and refining his technique, each work being informed by those before.

Once he has made the ‘Artist Proof’  Hadcock decides on the limit of a numbered edition for each work. Each numbered ‘Artist Repeat’ in the edition is unique and hand made to order.
